Where the CORE 500
is built and tested.

1. Hand assembly. Each CORE 500 starts on a dedicated SunPress assembly line where the 500W heating element, adjustable thermostat and ceramic non-stick soleplate are fitted by hand. Building at low wattage is harder than building at high wattage: the element must be positioned precisely so heat spreads evenly across the whole plate instead of pooling at the tip. That is the difference between a low-watt iron that presses and one that merely warms.

2. Twelve-station quality testing. Before any iron leaves the line it is heat-cycled and electrically tested on a 12-station rig. We check that the unit draws no more than its rated 500W, that the thermostat holds each setting within tolerance, that the soleplate reaches pressing temperature quickly and that insulation and earthing pass safety limits. An iron that fails any station is pulled and reworked — never shipped.

3. Finishing. Soleplates are inspected for coating defects and wrapped, cords are coiled and the body is wiped down before moving along the conveyor. This is also where the SunPress brand mark is applied and the serial number recorded, so every warranty claim can be traced back to the exact batch it came from.

4. Boxing and dispatch. Retail cartons are folded, the iron and its manual are packed, and boxes are sealed and stacked for shipping to Lagos and across Nigeria. From here the iron travels to your door with a 12-month limited warranty and our 7-day returns promise behind it.
